TREC was contracted to complete a large-scale Brownfield Redevelopment Project in Olean, NY. This project involved the excavation and removal of over 35,000 tons of non-hazardous soil. TREC teamed with GeoSolutions Inc. (GSI) to develop and implement a large-scale deep soil mixing program for the deeper impacted soils at the site down to thirty-five feet. Portions of this project involved the excavation and stabilization of 12,000 cubic yards of hazardous soil. TREC removed over 2 miles of former underground process piping during this project. All backfilling was completed in accordance with DER 10 standards, as well as ASTM standards. A 10-acre, 2-foot deep permanent gravel cap was installed over the site. TREC processed over 10,000 cubic yards of impacted fill materials as a Waste Reduction program.
